Hi Far,
No i could not access to turbo grid. as i told you in linkdin, i have to mesh with icem cfd, after meshing this impeller i should mesh volute. can you please tell me, how can find a cell in icem cfd by it's number ? i mean when i export the mesh to fluent, it gives me error(no face with given nodes. thread 6, cell 74472). how can find this cell in icme cfd by this number(thread 6, cell 74472)? |

hello,
If you want I can help you to generate the mesh for the case, rotor+volute in icem cfd with blocking method...if you can send me the geometry in .stp or iges tomorrow i will send you the mesh...(my email address is ion.malael@comoti.ro) |

Can I send the step files of my geometry to you too and record the steps you will make to make it by myself? I am new in ICEM. I have an impeller, volute and the inlet pipe.

You can send me the geometry but this can take some time, if you want to use only ICEM CFD...more easy is to use the meshing from Workbench..

Thank you very much for your reply. Actually I need some particular sizes may be lower than 1 mm around the blades and the critical zones and the skewness should be lower than 0.79. So, I can send the step files to you and please generate the hexa mesh and if you can record a video i will help me in the future. I use sliding mesh and I have to define the inlet, outlet, rotating zone, fixed zone and the interface. Thanks

if you want this mesh i can use turbogrid for rotor part...you will have a very good mesh with hexa for a single blade and multiply in ICEM CFD for all blades..and for volute i will use Workbench meshing with inflation on the walls

Okay, but please record your steps in a video. And at the end of the meshing I have to import the assembly of the pump (inlet pipe, impeller, and volute) to FLUENT. Thanks
