Airplane Mesh Problems

1 Attachment(s)
Hi everyone,

I tried to simulate a crashing airplane in ANSYS Explicit Dynamics. I can never mesh the airplane correctly. I tried to change the element size and use different settings for different part of the airplane but it didn't work at all. I always get the same error messages:

The following entities failed to mesh. The meshes of the bodies containing these entities are not up-to-date. However, meshing was successful on the other bodies.

The following surfaces cannot be meshed with acceptable quality. Try using a different element size or virtual topology.

The default defeaturing tolerance was larger than one computed based on size controls. The mesher has modified the global defeaturing tolerance accordingly.

The defeaturing tolerance is not suitable for the model to be meshed successfully. Try changing defeaturing tolerance or element sizing to alleviate this problem.

A mesh could not be generated using the current meshing options and settings. Hint: The problem geometry areas might have been highlighted. Switching to wireframe mode may make them more visible.

The mesh generation did not complete due to poor quality elements or incorrect input. Please try meshing with another mesh method or different mesh options.

I have no idea how to fix this problem. Hope anyone can help me. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Michelle
