How to keep the solid body

Hello,

I have a very simple question that i couldn't figure out how to solve :

I extracted the fluid "duct" out of my geometry (imported STEP file). I can mesh the fluid part without a problem, but when i want to post-process all this (after Fluent's calculations), i can not get the original geometry for vizualization.

How can i keep the geometry that is around the extracted fluid duct? Do i have to mesh it as well?

I know it's a weird question, but i couldn't find any answer online (may be it is too simple to have a forum thread on this).

Thank you for anyone who could help.

Hi, thanks for posting. i can't post a picture, but basically, i have a paint gun as a geometry.
On Design Modeler, i extract the fluid part of it.
Then i mesh it to run my calculations.

But after, when postprocessing, i would like, for vizualisation, to see the gun body as well. Do i need to mesh the body as well?

Thank you.
