Help with a problem in the Workbench

Hello everyone,

I am using Ansys workbench for hydrodynamic diffraction calculation (AQWA).
Since i do not have the Design Modeler i am trying to import directly the models created (surface) in Solidworks to the Workbench trough a IGS file (already tried STEP also).
Even though that the geometry looks ok and i can create the mesh and input all the needed parameters i cannot solve the case.
The reason why i cannot solve it is because, even with all the parameters in place, with the correct equilibrium beteween the buoyancy and the weight the program cannot distinguish between upper and below water. So, it tries to calculate diffraction above the water level, which originates a serious error.

Does anyone knows how can i solve this? How to separate up and bottom water surfaces of a body without the design modeler and trough attaching directly the geometry in the Workbench? Can i do it inside the workbench?
