Hi All,

I am trying to mesh for a intake lip. As can be seen in the picture, the mesh is not following the half ellipse shape along the Z axis....I have tried link edge, associate edge to surface, link shapes but with no luck. I was hoping anyone who had met this problem before and could give me a hint please?

Regards

You could also try associate face to surface or part. If that does not work create some more curves and points in z-direction and associate blocking to them.

Hi Kad,

Thanks for your kind reply. I did as your suggestion to draw two extra ellipses at symmetric position(some distance away from the initial ones) and associate edges with them, but between those two ellipses the mesh is still not following the shape. Any further suggestions?

Regards

Hi Tom,
did you check the association of the faces as suggested by kad? The screen shot shows some different colouring which corresponds to the associated part. That could be ok in your project.
In a few projects, i had to reassociate some faces inside a blocking to thier right surface, sometimes also adjacent walls where i had problems with the mesh.

With regards,
Sebastian
