Curved Tube Using a Two Phase Approach

Create one section (disk)
Create one edge which will describe your center line Then you can sweep your face (disk) with your edge, and you get your 3d volume. Now if you want a full hexa mesh (no pave), you have to split your domain. By decomposinf it, you will get a nice hexa mesh. In your case, the decomposition is O-grid type. For drawing 3D Pipe O-rigid. I followed a new way to get that pipe and my pipe is below, take a look and then give your evaluation |
And For my thread. I made a circle face and to connect the center line with that circle I did not get the method. with pictures if don't mind

if I considered my geometry as presented above as a concentric annuli is my procedure correct from drawing and meshing To connect the arc with the Slice have faced a problem as below I used Radius 20 mm for both the arc and the face |
is the yellow edge the path for sweeping?
if yes, then it cannot be coplanar to your disk |

I did point in the center of disc to be the center of that path got this |
your edge has to belong to (xz) plane

align your edge with your disk so that 2 points are coincided

Let copy your dimensions in last two pictures
1- Radius of Disc is ( ? ) and xz plane right? 2- Selecting circular arc with the third method Radius is ( ? ) Start angle ( ? ) end angle ( ? ) the center you selected the vortex of the disc or how and also you selected xz plane Sorry for my too much quires |
1- 15 in (xy) plane
2- just like yours , ie : *radius 40 *start angle 0 *end angle 210 *(zx) plane then you need to rotate your edge with 90° angle along (0 1 0) |

Now so-so
I got the geometry but what happened I didn't understand why? Maybe my directions or orientations . I followed all yr instructions * Disk with 15 * Arc with 40 and 0-210 angles of start and end. The center was the disk vortex . Than I did rotation to the path line and finally sweep with perpendicular type but I got this |

*create a plane with 500x500 (zx)
*split your tube with the plane, you will get 2 symetric domains. Delete one and check if the geometry is ok Attachment 33202 |

My problem is before doing sweep, the disk and Arc-Path r connecting wrongly Not like yours. For that just take a look at the last picture after splitting the geometry by that plane |

Interpret this edge as a vector. Important, is the way to build your geometry: and you did it correctly |
