grid refinement for only 1 block

1 Attachment(s)
Hey guys,

I'm currently working of some projects and was wondering if the grid with 1 block could be refined while keeping the same number of nodes in the other blocks. I've posted a pic online consiting of 3 blocks. I need the middle block to be refined at the left vertical edge since it is an inlet. Thus I would need more vertical nodes at the inlet. The other 2 blocks are solid and no refinement is required. Attachment 33172Hope yo guys have some suggestions.

Cheers

Ruben

yes you can do it. Go to blocking > pre-mesh parameters > Refinement.

For fluent you are allowed to have refinement of 2 to 1 and with the help of resolve refinement you can get mesh suitable for fluent.

For non conformal mesh, you can choose any refinement factor.
