Could someone tell me what is wrong with my O-grid? or how to fix it please?

Hi, Check Associations for egdes and surfaces. I think blocking may not have been projected to surface.

either you have deleted block or face projection (which is done by default by ICEM) is not properly done. In case of later problem, do the manual face to surface association.

Thank you. If I do the face association, Ill get the following.. I don't think this is what you meant me to do right ? :S

I have attached the file

The geometry file (*.tin) is needed. Not only the project file *.prj. :D

Why the aluminium plate have null thickness (canal into the atmoshere have null length)? The results may be more reaslitic.

kg1913 September 1, 2014 08:18

Initially I had a thickness. But I was advised not to have it. (thickness= 0.417499996721745).

Something like that. :)

That looks great. Thank you very much :) could you tell me how you did this, please (step by step instruction if possible please)? I really would like to know how I can do this. (looking at it did, I guess you created another square cut blocking around the circle --> two o-grids?)

Changing geometry --> Error Out_NegVol.

I have decreased the step size, so the cantilever is closer to the top surface. For some reason, even with correct asccociation etc., it does not allow it to run in CFXpre. It gives me the following error. I had the exact same problem with another model. (Initial model will run in CFXpre, however after changing only slighly it gives me the error). I did check mesh as well.

Thank you.

Create 3D Block.
1. Split block (prescribed point if possible)
2. Split block (prescribed point if possible)
3. Create O-Grid
4. Associate edges to curves (also I associate all inner vertices to appropriate points)
5. Move vertices

6. Create O-Grid
7. Associate faces to surface OUTLET
My project is not ready for CFX. May require more associations (faces and edges).

For flow around the plate cells are too big.
