Hello,
I am working with Gambit 2.3.16 to make a geometry of flow channel assembly. I am stuck after some mistakes done during face splitting which results in hard lines (dangling) that formed with various faces. As I did thousands of face splitting (that was backbreaking) so I won't prefer to start over again.
To remove hard lines I applied CLEANUP HARD EDGES operation but it didn't work due to the fact that v_edge.78469 (see picture "1") is shared with three faces (see picture "2") and couldn't delete.
I am unable to find the way out yet, kindly help.
Regards,
Obaid

-mAx- will become famous soon enough
may I see how should look like your final geometry (fluid domain)

I would treat one channel properly, and then work with copy & move.
Finally you only have to connect your channels with your extremities.
one face/connect/All should be usefull to be sure that all your splits are correct(connected)

Actually I did Face Split with Edge by copying the edges to each channel and then split face.
What I erred is not to recheck each channel before going to the next so that I could undo the mistakes.
I tried face merge, cleanup hard lines to recover the original face before the split but nothing worked for me. Any suggestions please...

If the clean up tool isn't helpfull, then I don't know I you could fix your problem "quick".
I assume your splits don't divide your faces entirely, and then you need to split again with a "small edge", but you will have to do it for all your channels
As I said I would restart and treat one channel properly.

Thanks Maxime Perelli for the response. I would be pleased to find the way back from face split but looks like its a one-way operation.
Thanks again
Regards,
Obaid
