2D Centrifugal pump with ICEM

2 Attachment(s)
Hi,
I am trying to do a 2D hexa mesh of a centrifugal pump with ICEM, but due to its blade geometry i am finding it very hard to get the blocking right, in some places the mesh overlaps and covers the blades, also i find it hard to get a smooth size distribution. This is my first time with ICEM and before this I have only made the tutorials, so I would appreciate some help.
Thank you,
Stewie

PD: here are some pictures of the impeller

Make the blocking for one blade and copy/rotate them and merge vertices.

OR

Get the mesh for one blade using blocking and then copy/rotate mesh

Thank you very much for the reply, the main problem I have is the bad orthogonality quality due to the angle of the blades, could someone help me with a blocking strategy that could get decent quality mesh? Thank you
