Hi,
I am trying to create mesh in single screw but every time I am getting mesh in triangular shape. I have attached it as my_mesh file. I want to get the mesh in quad shape as shown in desired_mesh file. How can I get the desired mesh? Please help me. Thanks Sushil |

tet mesh looks fine to me no problem in having a tet mesh. but if you are too interested in getting a hex one you will have to divide the screw into lots of parts where the software can sweep parts of the screw it thinks are suitable for hex meshing and have tet mesh for the others. the hex mesh does not look very good to me anyways, but you can still try to change to hex meshing by changing the assembly meshing options.

also if you look closely at the ''wanted'' mesh picture it clearly has two parts for the threaded part of the screw and the cylindrical part. just go with the tet mesh
