I found that the Cart3D module was not available in the new release v.14 of Icem. I don't know if Ansys Inc. has give up the cart3D software. I am using Cart3D, and unfortunately it seems not to be updated any more. Anyone learning the future plan of Ansys, please tell me some information about the cart3D's fate. Thank you.

DesktopAero now fully supports Cart3D and is in the process of combining it with both an Interactive Boundary Layer (IBL) and is offering the Adjoint-Based Error Estimation and mesh adaptation module that had previously only been available directly from NASA. |

mr Aftosmis,
is it possible ofr CART3D program to model 6DOF motion of irregularly shaped bodies. IE, to determine trajectory, total aerodynamic forces (drag, lift, magnus) and moments? I am asking this because of the mesh. I tried this in fluent, but how can I generate mesh 500m long, when my body is only 50mm wide. How CART3D solves this? best regards
