Preparing 2d domain for 2d meshing from 3d geometry (TURBINE)

Dear everyone,
I have this turbine to analyze (see screenshots). It's purely axial, with two rows of guiding vanes (2x38) and a rotor with 34 blades. I'm interested in doing the following thing:
1)Extract about 5 blade-to-blade sections (made out of 5 cylindrical concentric surfaces across the full gaseous domain (the transparent blue cylinder).
2)Make an expanded view of those sections (meaning a 2d view), but not all of them - about 3-5 for each rotor/stator row.
3)Fill the domain
4)Perform meshing in ANSYS Meshing for several different types of simulations (quasi-transient, sliding meshes).

Could you tell me at least how to retrieve the 2d section view?

It might help, that the blades and vanes are pure extrusions of 2d profiles, but the shape of that kind of profile is not quite the same as its expanded blade-to-blade view. The important thing here is, that I do not want to perform a full 3d simulation as of yet. I know, that CFX can show the blade to blade view of the results, but I think, that that would be available only after 3d simulation (or quasi 3d with the unit depth). Besides, Fluent is my current solver.
So it's probably going to be a set of five 2d geometries with identical profiles and different distances between them, right?

Thank you for all the help!

Dear guys,
Maybe I haven't made myself precisely enough. But since it might be problematic to create the blade-to-blade expanded view, I have decided to create it manually. My question now is:
If i have the proper 2d geometry - as a sketch - and do a "surface from sketches" operation, can I in that manner create a proper domain for 2D meshing in ANSYS Meshing?
My solver is Fluent, therefore no need to do the quasi 3D like in CFX.
Unfortunately - it show zero volume for that domain (I created a polyline to enclose a blade, the created two surfaces and subtracted them by boolean, then assigned material to "fluid" for the resulting surface).
Does the "fill" option work in such cases?
Please help... This is for my bachelor thesis.
