Merging the mesh

Hi everyone!
I have tried merging meshes in ICEMCFD and have attained my final mesh. But I'm not sure whether it is a valid way of doing and it's also read by fluent without error or warning. The steps followed are

1. I've loaded my .uns files one by one.
2. Clicked on merge instead of replace.
3.Finally, it was saved followed by applying BC and writing the input file.

Prompt me, if I'm wrong and tell me the right way of doing it. As I need non conformal mesh, I don't have any more issues as matching other than merging components.
