I want to study the flow field in a centrifugal pump. I am gonna generate a hex core mesh and use the MRF model in fluent to analyze the flow field.
My question is how do i generate mesh in icem so that i can specify the interface between the suction, impeller and the casing mesh as i am going to give rotational motion to the impeller mesh. Should I mesh the whole pump at once or mesh each part separately and merge them (which is generating a bad quality mesh) ? thanks in advance. |
