meshing pipe for two different diameter
1 Attachment(s)
Hello Everyone,
Is there any way I can get structured mesh for the geometry of pipe with two different diameter using workbench meshing ? I am attaching my geometry here. Thanks in advance. REgards, Tanjina |
Hi Tanjina,
I reckon sizing option will help you get structured mesh in full geometry! Cheers KAPI |
How ? :( @ Kapi
I tried to something like this...but couldn't.... http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/ans...ipe-ansys.html |
Hi Tanjina,
That's a very useful link, what is the problem you are facing in using it? Kapi |
I am facing problem at this point.
"6) Select the 4 faces of one side as "source" and the 4 end faces as "target" (see Picture 3)" For some weird reason, I can't select one of the face as "source" , so can't mesh. Since for my case it consists two different dia, that is another problem I guess. |
Hi Tanjina,
when you are making geometry, try to make two separate bodies and if they are not separated then create a slice between them. go into mesh and right click mesh and see if the bodies are sweepable. if they both are sweepable then you are good otherwise you have to fix geometry till it is sweepable. now you right click and create body sizing for each body seperately such that both have similar mesh( you mite need to change element size depending upon your body) Right click mesh and create method and choose "sweep" from it. Hopefully this should do the trick for you. Cheers KAPI |
