hello
i designed a hydrocyclone in gambit with diameter of 165mm. i used unit for all of the volume except inlet part, with retain item. also, i used subtract for main cylinder and inlet cylinder, with retain item, and connect the below face of vortex finder. i defined 3 BC :inlet velocity and 2 pressure outlet. in meshing part i used quad/pave for inlet, outlet and the connected faces with 0.01 interval size and hex/cooper for all of the volumes with 0.02 interval size. but in fluent, one of my outlet ignored and i face with fatal error: invalid number. can anybody help me about what my mistake is, and is my procedure correct?
i really appreciate if you can help me

-mAx- will become famous soon enough
you should have a message in Gambit while exporting your mesh.
You can provide the dbs file and could take a look

your volumes are not connected
Connect all the faces (Geometry/Face/Connect Faces (All))
It will connect all your volumes, but you will loose one volume mesh.
Then remesh this volume
It should fix your problem

thank you for your guide
because recently i began to work with this software, i can't understand well some of the concepts, for connecting faces it means faces between volumes of all the faces even wall faces of the volumes?
if you can show me in this face i really appreciate you

regards
