[DesignModeler] Unable to Import Geometry

Hello,

I am currently unable to import any external geometry into DesignModeler. Everything appears to be working in DesignModeler. I can make sketches and basic extrudes, but when I go to File -> Import External Geometry File, nothing happens. It closes the menu, but I don't get a pop up to select the external geometry.

I am using the university or academic version of ANSYS 14.5, so I am somewhat limited on what I can change with the program. However, if someone does have a solution, I can probably bring to our tech support people and hopefully they can get it corrected, as I am not the only student with this problem.

Whether after import it you have to click on generate option otherwise go to workbench geometry design modeler right click to show properties option click on it. Then check whether 2d or 3d are selected in geometry option

Neither one of those is my problem. I can generate a 3D solid using the the ANSYS Designmodeler functions.

When I click on the Import External Geometry File button, I do not get the popup window, which should allow me to browse and select an external geometry file.

Thn it will be problem in integration with ur system try on another system or else try pirated version in ur laptop.
