Hello Everyone!

I was wondering if its possible to export the "details of body/face/edge" from the designModeler to Excel or not.

We get details on the left pane when you click a body/face/edge, that information or by selecting Tools>Analysis Tools> Entity Information on the left side, either of these things details surface area, volume, area, number of edges, faces and so on.

I want to export this data with the help of script.
So basically when my script is running to create this geometry and revolve/extrude it to create body, it should be able to pick that body so that information is picked and then export it in given excel workbook.

If anyone has any idea then do let me know!!

cheers

Solved!

In mesh, select a body and then give following code to get Volume and area!
Code:
body.Volume;
body.Area;
Hope it helps others!

Hi Kapi!!!

How do we get face's details like area and surface type?

Any command apart from entity information?

Thanks,

Hi Kar,

You can select face details same as body!
Code:
faces(i).Area;
I don't know any command for entity information tool.
So yea if you are after Surface Type then you need find function for that like area, volume!

Hope it helps

Cheers
