I am testing the ATM method for a centrifugal compressor with 1 splitter both have round trailing edges. It's a new feature in Ansys 16.1. However after the topology is automatically generated, the hub layer is alright but the shroud layer near the leading edge of the main blade, the topology curves collapsed therefore leading to negative volume grid cells. Is there any way to add master control point to manually move one or two points to improve the topology? The overall topology and the mesh seem really of high quality, while after midspan layer, the topology became deteriorated. It gets worse further close to the shroud layer. If I can move one point in the topology cocooning area, the topology can just be perfect!
I think it's not robust enough since it is a new feature. My blade is a bit curved of course. Looking forward to any feedback! Thanks! |
