Hi everybody

I have a question:

edge.602 is not deleted in the following model. why?
Please, download the following model and If model have the problems, I am grateful that guide me about each problem because I am modifying this model.

http://www.4shared.com/file/DJ7HVfuhba/AAAAA112.html

Thanks,

Best,

Amir

your file seems to be deleted.
I loaded your last dbs file, and edge 602 is duplicated (you also have edge 603)
Basically you cannot delete an edge which belongs to a surface.
So in this case you need to connect both edge.
Doing that only one edge will remain

I think that Gambit is not promising and It is not agreeable with Solidwoks.

Please, show v_vertex.881 in the following link. In this vertex, The edges are skew.(v_edge.971,v_edge.961,v_edge.966, v_edge. 970, v_edge.962,v_edge.967)

http://www.4shared.com/file/Q26w0_VOce/AAAA12.html

These edges create many problems for numerical computational in the Fluent, Correct?

In my opinion, I should design this model in Gambit.
I am grateful that guide me this case.

Thanks,

Best,

Amir

the problem isn't gambit, but the quality of your cad import.
did you import iges, step, something else?

Yes, I imported iges. In fact, I designed this model in Solidworks2013.

I am grateful that guide me more. I really worked in this modeling.

If I cant solve this problem, I have to design in Gambit., this design is difficult in this software.

Thanks,

Best,

Amir

can you export step file from solidworks?

Yes, please show the following figure. Also, parasolid file is imported.

But I dont know that how to set of Gambit for step file and another files.

Four type of files is placed in the following link(IGs,Step, parasolid,...):

I am grateful that you check.

Thanks,

Don't generate all the splits in solidworks.
Do them in Gambit.

Why?

If I split Faces in solidworks, modeling is easier than the splits are done in gambit.

But I think that I should do these splits in Gambit and you are right. Please show the following link, particularly in trailing edge of blade. Is there any problem for analysis of fluent?
Does shape of trailing edge make any problem? In other words, Does trailing edge increase error of computational?

what is your opinion?

http://www.4shared.com/file/K-9okRnEba/AS11.html

Only i want to know about Gambit.

Thanks,

Best,

Amir

did you do something after the import?
because normally you should have real surfaces, and here you have virtual
try also with parasolid

No,

You are right.

I import as shown the below:

(with format IGS--import>IGES>Import IGES file>activate Negative in import options> then selecting IGS file in File name)

I try with parasolid, but it is not imported. Maybe I dont know that how to set options of Gambit.
