Surface mesh

Good morning, ICEM experts.

When meshing a circle surface on a cylinder,
Is there any way to make mesh on the basis of central axis?
Also, the mesh should be filled with hexahedrons only except 10 triangular prism around the central axis.
ICEMers can easily understand it if you see some pictures on the link.

Pictures is added in my dropbox link as below.

Thank you.

Sincerely.

Hi Hyowon,

the kind of mesh you described is created within a few steps.
You should start by creating an o-grid in the initial block:

Then, collapse the newly created central block.
You can do this by selecting "merge vertices". Choose the option "multiple vertices".
Selected the first vertex marked with "base" in the previous picture. Then, select the remaining vertices (1-3).
The result will be a bit distorted. Just move the remaining vertex back to the central axis.
Apply your edge settings and you'll get a mesh similar to the following picture:

Sebastian
