Different Number of cells across the gap

Hello everybody!

I have a multibody-part (done by slicing) with highly varying dimensions. The largest plate is about 1200x1500x30mm, so pretty large but thin, another body of about 800x400x600mm and some other parts containing small gaps that should be resolved.

I wonder if it is possible to set a different number of cells across the gap for every part? I've tried it by useing patch independend tet mesh and the advanced size function and I get a mesh but I also get an info-message that there are different settings for the number of cells across the gap and Ansys meshing decided to take the largest one... so where only one cell is needed Ansys Meshing puts five cells, the result is a very fine grid with poor quality.

Can somebody help me out?

Thank you!

Edit:
I've solved it. If someone has simmilar problems: Disable the Advanced Size Functions in the general settings and only apply it locally (in my case for the patch independend mesh).
