Hello!

I have a question about design modeler and meshing. I have one 1 fluid and 1 solid domain. The solid domain is in fluid domain. as the geometry is complicated, I use slice to cut my domain in subsections to have a hex meshes in meshing. When I do that, the fluid domain would be 3000 bodies and solid would be 900 bodies! I want to name the fluid sections as one FLUID body and all solid section in the name of SOLID body while keeping these edge cuts(that would be used for edge sizing in meshing)...I want to make 1 part with 2 bodies as well. Is there any way to merge again those solid and fluid cuts in body respectively while keeping the edge cuts in design modeler?

Thank you!

try selecting all the fluid parts and form one part from them (not the same as boolean) and do the same for the solid part.
Not really sure what you are trying to do though, you can also select them all and name them as one part.

It's not clear for me what you want to do,
But I guess you have several parts and you'd like to turn them to a unique one,
for this, in ansys meshing, you should select all bodies which you want to unite them and apply a name selection for all of them.

Maybe posting some photos help us to find out your problem better and solve it more quick...

Dear Hwet and Amin,
Thank you for your kind answers.

I have attached two snapshots of the domain. As you can see, the FLUID block is consists of 2605 bodies and solid 747 bodies. Let me restate what I wrote. The reason I have these high number of bodies is to enable me in Meshing to use size edgings very accurately to have HEX mesh(consider the outer domain of Fluid is cylindrical and not rectangular)...First of all, opening such a huge number of bodies takes time in meshing(45 mins)...secondly, meshing of whole domain gives me error when I want to do it for outer part of the fluid domain. I want to first handle the first issue. So what I want is to be able to use edge sizing in Meshing while merge all those small bodies of Fluid and Solid sections(wanna havetwo parts two bodies). I tried shared topology and have heard maybe projection may work...Any idea would be appreciated!

One more question!
Is there a way to check the mesh density in Meshing for different regions?
I tried to work with the features in Meshing but I think I am missing something...Suppose in the figure below, I want to know the number of the mesh elements in the dark zone...How can I do it?

Thank you so very much!
