I am trying to accomplish a simple task, e.g. generate a cylindrical polar coordinate mesh in z,r,theta. and have not had much success. I think it should not be THAT difficult and I would appreciate help.
Thanks for your support. Klaus |

I have the same or similar problem.
Are you trying to generate a structured mesh? Please, let me know if you do and if you have made any progress. Thank you! |

I have actually solved the problem by sweeping a quarter cylinder around the axis with manually mapped low (Theta = 0°) and high (Theta = 90°) faces. Afterwards (in Setup) rotational copy (original + 3) around the axis to make a full cylinder.

Here are a few screenshots to follow how to get to a cylindrical polar mesh. I meshed the core separately (2 Bodies) to avoid artifacts on the center line.

In my post from Jan 18:
Afterwards (in Setup) rotational copy (original + 3) around the axis to make a full cylinder. |

The thumbnails look like CFX. I don't remember the details though.
