Missing edges in Meshing

2 Attachment(s)
Hey guys,

I have been trying to mesh a multi-element aerofoil, but for some reason one of the edges which exists in DesignModeller doesn't appear in meshing. The edge in question needs to have a refinement on it, but because it no longer exists the mesh fails.

I have tried it with the endplate moved further in so that it overlaps, but to no avail. Any help is much appreciated.

There are some pictures showing the problem below.

hmm what could be wrong with that.

I read somewhere that meshing may be affected by the graphic quality, try increasing this from the options menu, i think its is called "some" quality, cant be asked to look it up at the moment so sorry.

secondly, was this geometry made in a CAD package other than design modeler, if yes then you should repair the geometry in design modeler. you can repair edges, hard edges and points etc using the repair tool.

See if these solve the issue and post back if it does.

I don't think its a graphics problem, even if I do refinement based on a named selection, it still misses the edge.

The geometry is from a 3D curve, so it is all in ANSYS. I got it to work in 15.0, but it still doesn't work in 16.1.
