As part of my degree I am currently creating a matlab structure to control both ICEM and FLUENT. I know that it is possible to control FLUENT, as I can make CMD read a journal file. However, while it is possible to launch ICEM from the CMD line, it is unclear whether I can then make it read a replay script. Does anyone know whether this is possible, and if so, how?

If you want to do automatic generation of simple meshes, I may have an alternative solution for you. I use Matlab directly to generate .cfx5 meshes. I'm not sure exactly of the fluent format, however. You could modify my core code to do more complex geometries. Let me know if you're interested.

I think you must be able to run a journal file in ICEM. Pretty sure ICEM was all command line "back in the day." (sorry I know that's not actually helpful)

bluebase will become famous soon enough
Hi Sean,

yes, it is possible to lanch ICEM in batch and run a script file.
This is simply done by running ICEM with the following arguments:
Code:
/pathto/icemcfd -batch -script replayscript.tcl
With regards,
Sebastian
