Please help.I want to do transient analysis on welded joint. So for moving heat source I have to select multiple patches along the weld joint. From tutorial I came to know that it can be done by imprint faces while extruding lines, but when I tried it by extrusion in operation it does not show the option IMPRINT FACES.Please suggest what I am missing?I have attached a screenshot of the problem.

you have to select imprints where you have 3 parts , 3 bodies.
Select all bodies, right click and create part. Once Part is created, click on it and you will see properties of that part. Use imprint instead of automatic! |
