I'm trying to complete my coursework and the dead-line is like tomorrow night. And the details of the procedure I have done so far are given below:

1) As the car is symmetric about a YZ plane, I have first made an extrusion cut of the car in the geometry file(.STEP file).

2) After this, I imported the new geometry file(.STEP file) of the new model into Ansys Workbench.

3) A default import had been done

4) After this, the a rectangle sketch has been drawn on YZ plane and using Extrude option it has been extruded

5) Then a Boolean operation has been done to get the fluid volume

6) And Now I opened the meshing tool in Ansys

7) At start I didn't use 'Virtual Topology' when I tried to mesh it, It took hours together and result was a failed mesh.

8) After seeing the failed mesh , I have used Virtual Topology as I saw in the internet that it might be useful

9) With Virtual Topology also I have very bad mesh.

I just can't figure out a way of meshing the part. Kindly please guide me to the correct solution at the earliest.
PFA attached figures of my geometry and mesh.

Please guide me to the solution, I cannot graduate without solving this. Please!!!

Good Day Sankeerth,

First of all dont post things like you have deadline of tomorrow so that people here can reply you faster, it dosent work like that!

Secondly if you are not able to graduate just because of this then model you better not, you are not ready to plan things as of yet!

We are here to help you not solve complete problem for you so you should have looked into this model few months back.

Coming to your model,
Its very hard to mesh such small components in mesh without failing.
You need to make prototype of things like Tyre, make Tyre without all sort of siping. Its easier to mesh.
All small components if they are not useful in the modelling should be removed, holes should be filled.
Then all small components are sized to get good mesh on it.

so you see, thr r lots of things to do which you can not do in 1 day.
So I am not sure how your graduation will work now.

Next time dont do things in hurry, try and read and then ask questions here!

Cheers
KAPI
