ICEM: Body meshed twice

2 Attachment(s)
Dear all,

I'm facing a problem in ICEM CFD 17.0, where I want to mesh 2 bodies: a sphere within a cylinder. But whenever I mesh it, the sphere gets meshed twice. Or in other words, I am not able to set the bodies as two separate ones. My set up is as follows:

First I mesh the sphere, without the cylinder around it, separately in order to determine some boundary conditions. Then I use a geometry that consists of the same sphere surrounded by a cylinder, generated in DesignModeler. The two parts are set to "frozen" material in the DesignModeler and set as an assembly.
Whenever I open this geometry with ICEM the parts are set up as seen in the attachement. The mistake isn't that assembly, as I tested to mesh it without it.
Next I tried to set the cylinder to a different body than the sphere, but the cylinder still gets also meshed inside the sphere instead of around it.
I've been looking at several tutorials and examples and tried to replicate them and apply them to my problem, but also without any success. Attached is another image, which demonstrates my problem of the "double-meshed" sphere. (please ignore the mesh quality of the cylinder at this point...)

Am I missing something obvious? Do I need another approach to reach an interface between the two bodies?

Thank you for your help in advance!

did you check the tutorials on youtube.

Hi,
thanks for your fast reply!
Yes, I've checked several tutorials on youtube and the ANSYS tutorials, and I select the two bodies (sphere + cylinder) separately and name them differently in order to clarify that they are different in ICEM...
Isn't there another option in ICEM to set an interface between the two meshes after this error occurs? Or something else I might have forgotten..?
