hello, i am a freshman of the cfd forums. and i have a problem when i output mesh as following statement.

the log: warning: mesh has uncovered faces. ansys fluent need a complete boundary{shells in 3D} or it will give a variety of errors and not read in the mesh.

error:face(near node 135954) is attacted more than 2cells.[and there are hundreds of these errors.]error in computing cell connectivity. child process exited abnormally.

i have searched the published threads, however, i still don't know how to solve the problem. if you know the reason, please tell me, thanks a lot.

Daniel_Khazaei will become famous soon enough
It's probably an association issue with the boundary edges!
if it's a 2D problem then you need to associate every curve to its corresponding edge!

ok. thank you very much, daniel. i have found out that penetrating elements may cause uncouvered face. so, it is better to check mesh to find whether the vertices(of your blocking) is in correct position, because i use the transform mesh!
Far likes this.
