shivasluzz is on a distinguished road
I like to know what are all the conditions should be satisfied when choosing/modelling the periodic surface of single flow passage for turbo machinery model?
1. Should the periodic surface be placed at 50% of flow volume on either of blade?
2. Can we create these periodic surface by rotating the blade surfaces?
3. Can it be a plane?
4. Can it be at unequal distance on either side of the blade?
5. Can we say like, what so ever the shape and position of Periodic surface, if it can create a full model, by creating instances, without overlapping and gaps, then it is accepted?

I know through Blade modeller option of Design modeler we can create the flowpath automatically by specifying the hub, shroud, inlet and outlet sketch.
But I like to create this in solid modeling software and I like to know how the periodic surfaces should be modelled.

Thanks!
