Problem Importing BC from ICEM CFD to Fluent

5 Attachment(s)
Hi everybody,

I'm trying to model a NACA0018 airfoil with a blowing slot for flow control, but can't seem to get the blowing slot boundary condition over to Fluent.

I have modelled the slot as a slight change in geometry over at the leading edge.
There, I have defined the slot curve as an independent edge (see pic 1).
Then, I created the blocks (pic 2) and the mesh (pic 3) in ICEM CFD.

Now, I realise the boundary condition I set up in ICEM is probably based on the part name, and not on the mesh, and that it's wrong.
And this is why it seems like the mesh is not quite attached to the slot edges in ICEM (pic 4).

The problem is, I don't know how to mesh it otherwise. I have tried splitting my blocks and associating the relevant edges to that curve.
But it just causes a lot of mess and frustration. I have no idea which block to split, and how to associate, so that the elements will be created most effectively.

Any help would be appreciated!

When I try to associate different edges to the airfoil and to the slot, it results in a weird mesh, which doesn't load up in fluent (I get the infamous "Build grid: Aborted due to critical error" message).
