jumpmonkey is on a distinguished road
Hi everybody,

I've recently learnt multi-block hexa, now I am trying to teach myself tetra/prism...

When I say tetra/prism... i mean the whole "set up mesh parameters => compute, check, smooth etc..." process.
Is there an umbrella term that describes all meshes generated this way?
tetra/prism dosen't fit since the final mesh can have hexa-core and pyramids...? (i'm thinking unstructured auto meshing??)

I am feeling overwhelmed by the number of options and schemes available...
So I am considering focusing only on:
shell mesh: patch dependent, independent
volume mesh: octree, Delaunay
(and worry about prism layers, hexacores, and other algorithms later)

Is this approach okay? I've chosen only these, because these seem to be the most commonly mentioned in the forum. Any other general advice is also welcomed.

thank you
