Hi everyone, I'm very new to ICEM and currently doing a project in 3d vortex shedding around a cylinder.

1) I was wondering if I do the blocking in a 2d plane in ICEM and translate it to 3D will it provide the 3d Turbulent vortex shedding characteristics at higher Reynolds numbers? Is there anything particular I should pay attention to for this to work?

2) The next stage of my project needs me to add porous layer around my cylinder. What would be the optimal way to mesh around my inner solid cylinder. Is the correct method to use multiple O-grids?

Thanks for any guidance
