Multi-Block Meshing of a Rectangular channel with inlet at 90 deg

Hi,I have to mesh a channel with perpendicular inlet in ICEM using Hexa elements. Image is attached. I want to mesh the inlet part and the channel part separately to have proper control over mesh parameters. So I have created blocking in such a way that after splitting I get one block over inlet and other over channel. Now my doubts is as follows:

Do I need to make an interface at the joining surface between inlet and channel (Since i will be providing mesh parameters for both the blocks independently)?
