Edge bunshing law and growth rate

Hello everyone,

I am trying to set a specific growth rate for a boundary layer. I want a growth rate of 1.1 with the exponential function. The first layer is 6.2e-6 and I want to set the last layer to 0.1. I am using the biexponential option. When I add more nodes the only thing that differs is the growth ratio that is free so that seems to be all good. On to the questions!

It says that for the biexponential option the growth rate is changing at the midpoint at the edge. My first question is if this the physical midpoint or when half of the nodes are reached?

Secondly, when I add more nodes the distance between nodes is changing over the whole edge, but not the growth ratio that is set to 1.1. I'm struggling to understand how the growth ratio can be constant when the distances changes but i have my suspicions. It seems that the distance of the first and second layer is constant. In that case the growth ratio isn't necessarily constant until the midpoint of the edge. But this would kind of take away the whole thing with the the growing rate function.

The reason I am asking this is if I can be sure that I have enough nodes (like half the edge) with a growth ratio of 1.1. Anyone has an idea of the details of how this works?

Thanks and best regards!

No one????

just think what is happening in reality. it will respect the first cell height, no of nodes and also it will have one cell at the second end of geometry. ratio and height of cell at second end will change accordingly
