Default Mesh refinement in one direction

Hi everybody,

I have the problem that I cant refine my mesh in one direction. The mesh is uniform in all directions, but what I need is a greater resolution in vertical direction. Corresponding to the picture below, I need more "slices" in y-direction.

It seems to be a very simple task but I just can't find any solution.

It would be great if somebody could help me.

You can introduce edge sizing and use bias.
