Blocking elliptical hole on outer cylinder for concentric cylinders

Hello all,

I am experiencing a problem (I think) when I am blocking the elliptical hole for a medical device I want to simulate. The pictures attached show a before and after I apply a split to my initial o-grid. When I apply the vertical split (similar to FAR's youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IHh0b8hT_EA) I notice that my premesh begins to concave near the center at the top and bottom of the elliptical hole. Even after I associate the vertices to the proper points at the top and bottom of the ellipse (y-dir) the outcome results are the same.

When I start to check the quality of my premesh, the area where it appears to concave results in less than 0.35 and I want to improve this past 0.5. I believe if it does not cave in this direction and follows a more horizontal path, that I will get a more quality premesh.

If you have any experience or knowledge of this situation, please feel free to respond with any feedback. Again, thank you for your time and consideration.

Kyle
