I have this system (see the pic)

Its a 4 parts system I will name them from inside to out side:

1-water domain through the pipe
2- pipe
3 fin
4 pcm (square)

its a heat transfer problem. the heat move from the water to the PCM through the pipe and the fin or vise versa

The question is. How to mesh the system with a good meshing method.

Every time I receive an error in fluent

your help is appreciated in advance

Thanks

There are places at the inner wall of the pipe where you have "free" noded (not connected to pipe cells) or at least rectangular elements in the pipe wall with 3 nodes in a line. I don't see which is the case from your image. The first case leads to a incorrect mesh and the second one gives numerical instability.

THanks piu58 for your reply.

the two pics have been taken for the same case but from different view.

The first and last parts have been mished with Quad and the two in the middle with Tetra.

Do mot ask me why, I am just guessing.

Thanks
