Hi!
I am trying to simulate the flow over a vehicle front wing in ground effect using ANSYS. I have created the model in Solidworks (pic attached) - this is just a simple model for now but no matter what settings I try, it simply will not mesh.

Even with no add on settings, just with a fine relevance center I always get the following errors:
A mesh could not be generated using the current meshing options and settings.
One or more surfaces cannot be meshed with acceptable quality. Try using a different element size or virtual topology.
One or more entities failed to mesh. The mesh of the bodies containing these entities may not be up-to-date. However, meshing might be successful on the other entities.

To create the model in Solidworks, I imported the aerofoil coordinates, converted the curve to a sketch and extruded the sketch.

My method in ANSYS is to import the Solidworks geometry, create an Enclosure and then using Boolean operations, splitting the enclosure in half and removing the aerofoil structure so there is one solid body (picture attached).

I have tried changing the body sizing, adding inflation layers, edge sizing, out of ground effect but I always get the same error. I have tried suggestions from other posts but none particularly talk about this error, or suggest reasons why it will not work.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!!
Thank you

Have you tried using virtual topology? If you not then try and let us know how it goes.

Also, I recommend that first you try with uniform or fixed Advanced Size Function. It should give you some mesh (may not be the best one). Then, play with global, local face and edge sizing to get detailed mesh at walls.
