Hello Friends,
I am facing a problem in modelling a duct. I have to model a duct which takes inlet air along with dust particles from the ambiance. To show the ambiance i made a box which will suck air from all sides. The box has some part of the duct inside it while major part of the duct is outside the box. While i am trying to use the Boolean operation to make duct and box as 1 body, the duct part which lies inside the box gets removed and if i am solving the problem with 2 parts and 2 bodies the CFX setup shows error saying "2 isolated regions are found". I tried creating common interfaces but that too is not helpful. How can i run my setup without any such error? Or is there anything in the geometry which i can change. I think if somehow i am able to make the geometry as 1 body then the problem would be solved. Please give your best advises. Thank you in advance. |

Don't use Boolean. Just right-click the two different parts and click 'form a new part'.
