Hi guys
I'm trying to create a surface using my imported geometry file from a DWG file but get this error: What's the problem? how can I figure it out? |

In order to form a surface, you need fully enclosed loop of lines, arcs, etc. I assume you're using AutoCAD 2-d to create the dwg file? You can't have any gaps or overlapping lines when starting to make surface features. Design Modeler isn't a great program to do modeling in. Better for manipulating a 3-D model from a real CAD package.
In the past I've got autocad drawings from drafters and since they don't care if their drawing forms a fully enclosed loop with no gaps or overlaps, it can't be directly used for modeling without CAD cleanup. Although when they print the drawing for the machinists it looks great. Also, why is the version blanked out on your screenshot? Sent from my iPhone using CFD Online Forum mobile app |
