Hi there,
I have a geometry to mesh with hex blocks. To minimise blocks splitting and keeping it clean, I decided to not split all the blocks through (see image), and now having problem getting good quality mesh.

The middle single block (where it is not split) is getting confused with linking the upper and lower edges and it results to skewed meshes. The geometry is symmetric and if I could simply link the desired edges on top and bottom, I would possible get a nice and symmetric mesh.

I have tried a bunch of options such as "Linked bunching", "Parameters locked", " Nodes locked" in Pre-mesh Params but not getting what I would like to see. Any help would be appreciated

Go to edge mesh parameters on the top edge. see the direction of the edge. I have intuition it goes from left to right. select linked bunching and select the first edge from the bottom edges. this will link the spacing between the non-split blocks and splitted ones. (Even if you didnt split all the blocks ICEM assumes there is an imaginary block there but the spacings are not matched to the blocks adjacent to the ones which are split)

Another choice is to extend all the edges and update the mesh parameters.

Thanks shereez,
I didn't work. I tried the two blue circled edges to bunch them but that didn't do anything. The direction of the top edge is from right to left as this image. I am not sure if that has something to do with it. I am also wondering if any of the copy methods (e.g. Copy to All Parallel Edges) or Parameters locked, or etc. would impact this operation. any thought?
Thanks

yes if you parameters locked then your changes won't take place. Basically the longer edge parallel to the shorter ones can take the spacings from the shorter ones with the use of edge bunching.
