High Mesh Skewness on Cusp Trailing Edge

1 Attachment(s)
Hey everyone, I've been running a quasi-2D analysis on an airfoil in CFX and for some reason I keep getting minor fluctuations in lift, drag, and moment coefficients every time a run a simulation. I think its because of the high skewness in my mesh at the cusp trailing edge. I attached a photo of the inflation layers in that area. Any idea how I can go about fixing it?

Thanks a lot!

Hi, this is an old thread. But if anyone is still interested to run a simulation on the NACA 0012, NACA 4415, FX 61-184 E420 and S1223 airfoil, please take a look at:

Numerical Investigation on the Pressure Drag of Some Low-Speed Airfoils for UAV Application.

Unsteady 3-equation k omega intermittency SST was used. Good comparison with XFOIL and experimental data. Transition features also shown through cf and cp plots.

hi jmcquaid
Check the following document.
it is a very good resource for ansys meshing

i hope it helps
