blocking strategy in ICEM CFD

I want to validate the 2D airfoil Wind tunnel results with CFD solver. I tried in many ways, Could not get proper results.

The various research paper suggests " O grid gives much better results than C and H mesh blocking strategy.

Kindly give some suggestion on how to make O grid around the airfoil as given in http://blog.gridpro.com/the-art-and-...hing-airfoils/

A simple O-grid topology should be no problem in ICEM Hexa. For the last example with nesting I would probably try to import a GridPro mesh into ICEM and extract the topology from there.

Years ago I solved the problem of flexible topology creation by throwing ICEM out of the window and using GridPro instead :-)

Is it possible to access this tool as free version without any limitations?

The academic version is limited to 100 blocks, which is nearly nothing for real world cases.

Just contact the people from GridPro directly. The developement team is located in India.

wow. I like gridpro very much. But mostly use ICEM CFD for various reasons.
