Meshing an aerofoil with a hole

1 Attachment(s)
Hello everyone,

I'm currently investigating the effects of holes inside a 2-D NACA 0012 aerofoil and have come across convergence issues when the hole is more inclined (more skewed quad elements). The meshed hole can be seen in the attachments.

I'm now trying to hybrid mesh the outer domain into a quad mesh and the hole into a tetra mesh to try and solve the convergence issues. I have tried doing this by first creating the C-mesh then surface meshing the vent hole domain but this did not work (created a 2 element tri mesh inside the hole)

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Ducky

Convert the elements in this region to tri elements. Tried that?
