non manifold body error for rocket geometry
 

Hello. I'm working on air flow around the rocket ( missile). I create my geometry by Catia. my geometry has 13 body. 12 body for rocket fin and canards. one body for rocket body.
when I want to Enclosure operation for external flow, this error happen.

"Error: Operation would result in non-manifold bodies
Context: Geometry Engine, while generating Feature Enclosure"

can anyone help me?

I will send my geometry , if you can solve my problem.

Which file format are you importing in ansys?

I import both stp and igs formats

I also had the same error when I imported step file.But when I imported the igs file, the enclosure command worked without any error. U can try a simple trick, however it may or may not work. The trick is first you save the assembly as a part file and then save this part file as stp or igs file.

I am also having the same problem with the enclosure. I imported the STL file and IGES file. But still, I am getting the same error "operation would result in nonmanifold bodies" can u help me to solve it?
