[GAMBIT] ERROR：cannot form boundary layers

Dear all
There is a problem that makes me confused. I'm trying to mesh a IGV passage domain. However, when i apply boundary layer mesh to shroud face, a message"ERROR：cannot form boundary layers on edge edge.ID of face face.ID without intersection." appears and the boundary layer mesh is failed. So, my question is
1.what does this message mean or What problem occurs in my geometry model?
2.What should i do to solve this problem?

Thanks for your reply, max. When i open the .dbs and plan to capture some pictures, i find that the boundary layer backgroud mesh (white lines in pictures) is generated successfully. But it was failed when i submited my thread to forum

Well, there is another problem when i continue mesh. The mesh in a face is failed.

did you pick also the top and bottom faces of your domain?
if yes deselect them, you only need to select the solid surfaces (wall) of your foil

I didn't select the hub and shroud surfaces. The blade surface consists of six surfaces. The blade surface mesh is failed in one of the six surfaces. In other five surfaces, the surface mesh is generated successfully. I wanna know what may cause the "ERROR: The boundary layers associated with face ID are conflicting and/or will overlap".

I want to create boundary mesh at shroud, hub and blade surfaces. When blade surface boundary mesh is going to be created, i get in trouble. The specific mesh parameters are displayed in figure 1,2,3.
