Hi,
I'm very new at fluent and doing a 2D simulation of a valveless pulsejet, a did the mesh with inflation in order to obtain a yplus between 30 to 300 but now i'm trying to do a study of mesh independence but it is not converging. The refinament option is not available so i'm decreasing the element size but i'm not changing the inflation, should i refine the inflation too? But how? Please help me |

Hey Andreia,
- If your first yplus values are all in range, you shouldn't change the dimension of your first inflation layer in your mesh study. - But if necessary you can work around the total number of inflation layers. - To refine or to coarsen the mesh, playing with the element size is correct. - If the simulation is not converging with a coarser mesh this means you should refine the grid resolution and cross-check your results.
